SMSCaptor

SMS receiver

I am a Swiss retired telecommunication engineer and I am looking for a partner to implement a unique and innovative product.
The product is just a scaled down version of a mobile phone. The basic product has just the electronics to receive and display SMS text. The basic product has only one switch and a display. It is the size of a memory stick and can be worn as a necklace or as a watch by children or on a key-chain to be used as a locator. Using the same packaging and powering, many optional features can be included.
Many internet platforms verify new users by sending them an SMS. One of the most convenient and secure ways of loging into a website is to have the website send a temporary password to your mobile phone. There are many people who can not afford a mobile phone and pay for voice service. An affordable device that only receives SMS is needed by the many people who do not have mobile phones.
The market for such a device is very large. Ownership rates of mobile phones range from about six-in-ten in nations like Poland, Russia, Greece, South Africa and Brazil to just around four-in-ten in Indonesia, Kenya and Nigeria. In India, only 24% can afford to use a mobile phone. While many people can not afford access to the mobile service providers, they nevertheless have affordable internet access using schools, libraries and internet cafes. It is precisely in those places that passwords are easily compromised and secure logins using temporary passwords sent as SMS are recommended. This device can also be used as an affordable location, and messaging device for children who are too young to have or operate a mobile phone.
Income generating SMSs would be sent from family, friends, and colleagues who would be able to finally send SMSs with those without mobile phones. With added wifi functionality, this device can be used to control devices remotely using SMS. With added functionality, this device can be used as an emergency call device that calls a number automatically at a push of a button. A prepaid version with a voice to text conversion would enable sending SMSs from the device and make it affordable for many to send SMSs without having to subscribe to voice services that they can not afford. There is a race to produce pocket devices such as the smart phone that have more and more functionality, leaving a market for just the basics for the many poor. .
I would appreciate having the opportunity to confidentially present my idea for his device for your consideration. .
